The towns of Apex, Holly Springs, Fuquay-Varina and Morrisville will join Cary in offering “QuickStart” format tennis programs for youngsters ages 5-10. QuickStart scales the tennis game to the size and abilities of these younger players with lower nets, specially designed balls and smaller racquets. The results are profound. Children as young as 5 can sustain rallies with their peers, actually playing tennis. These public park lessons are made possible with equipment provided by the Western Wake Tennis Association, affiliated with and supported by the U.S. Tennis Association. The Town of Cary has permanently configured a court at Cary Tennis Park to QuickStart. The equipment supplied for the other towns is portable and allows standard tennis courts to be temporarily configured for this child-friendly format.Program sign-up has already started in Fuquay-Varina and Holly Springs.Apex and Morrisville registration will be announced shortly. To learn more about WWTA visit westernwaketennis.com.QuickStart Lessons
