The Carolina RailHawks dropped both games on its swing through South Florida and Puerto Rico last weekend.

Miami dropped Carolina 2-1 Friday, and the Islanders beat the RailHawks 3-1 Sunday.

Against Miami, Carolina played the entire second half with 10 men after Phillip Kutsu was red carded in the 45th minute for a late, two-footed tackle. In second-half stoppage time, Frankie Sanfilippo was sent off after he received his second yellow card of the night.

Miami’s Sean Cameron scored the game’s first goal in the 48th minute. Zinho gave the Blues a 2-0 lead two minutes later.

The RailHawks got one back in the 88th minute when Sanfilippo headed in a cross from Kupono Low.

On Sunday, Carolina put itself in an early hole. Puerto Rico’s Noah Delgado scored the first of his two goals in the third minute. Joey Worthen answered for Carolina in the 19th minute, but the Islanders scored twice more before halftime to secure the win.

Carolia falls to 4-7-7 in the USL First Division. The RailHawks return to SAS Soccer Park on Saturday, when they play Miami at 7:30 p.m.
