All 14 Cary wrestlers won Wednesday, as the seven-time defending state champion Imps won 78-0 over Fuquay-Varina. It was the season and conference opener for both teams.

Of the winners, 12 came by fall. The other two won minor decisions but did not allow a point. Six of the matches didn't last longer than a minute, the fastest being Harrison Rosenbaum's 15-second pin of Wesley Kimball at 130-pounds.

Junior Ben Creed, a back-to-back state champion at 103-pounds, was wrestling at 125-pounds on Wednesday. The result was much of the same, however, as he pinned Chris Keaton in 1:19.

Also moving up a class was senior Matt Colvard. Colvard started his career at Cary wrestling in the 120-pound class and wrestled in last year's national tournament at 152 after winning the state title at 160.

This season, Colvard is wrestling at 171, and he too recorded a pin, taking just 28 seconds to do so.
