Cary High took the field by storm Thursday night leading Leesville High 15-7 at halftime, but lack of depth showed in the third quarter.Leesville returned for the second half and scored 29 points in the third quarter and seven in the forth. Cary could only score one touchdown in the second half. Thus the final score was Leesville 43 and Cary 22. “I have a lot of young kids on this team and they play their hearts out but depth is a problem,” Cary coach Ben Kolstad said after the game. “We had an opportunity to put Leesville away in the first half but we did not take advantage of those situations.”Cary highlights were Andrew Hills’ kickoff return of 75 yards and his total of 135 yards gained and two touchdowns.— C.
