Parks and recreation: June 16

The GRACE Christian Middle School Girls soccer team finished 11-2-2 on the 2013 spring season. Playing in the Triangle Middle School Conference, the team outscored it's opponents 64 goals to 24. Fifty-eight percent of the team is comprised of sixth graders while competing against mostly seventh and eighth graders.

For boys ages 9-15. All practices and games will be held at local parks. The season runs from July to mid-October. Ages determined as of Oct. 31, 2013.

It’s not enough to say Maura McDonnell is the Female Athlete of the Year because she played four sports this season. She did, but she was also great at all four.
