The Wake County school board voted last Tuesday to cap enrollment at Cedar Fork Elementary Schools to relieve overcrowding.

The vote means that families that move into the school’s attendance area after May 1 will be required to attend a different school.

New students moving into the attendance area for Cedar Fork in Morrisville who live east of N.C. 55 will attend Reedy Creek Elementary School. Those who live west of N.C. 55 will go to Weatherstone Elementary School. Students also will be able to apply to the year-round program at Carpenter Elementary School.
