Cary Academy student Lex-Jordan Ibegbu was awarded a $1,000 scholarship from Ronald McDonald House Charities. Ibegbu is a Cary Academy senior who made rap music and sold CDs to earn money for SAT study guides.

Ashley Harris of Apex High was also honored with a $1,000 scholarship from the Ray A. Kroc Youth Achievement Awards Scholarships, an award for McDonald’s employees furthering their education.
