Sixth-grader Anthony Kocur, a student at St. Michael School in Cary, won third place in Maryknoll magazine's annual essay contest.

This year's topic was, "You Will Be My Witness." Anthony was among six winners out of more than 5,000 contest entries from young people who wrote about people whose lives reflect Christ to them.
