Grace Christian School celebrated 25 years of providing Christian education to the Triangle at a special dinner in Cary Sept. 18 that featured pro basketball legend David Robinson.

Robinson joined Grace Christian School faculty, parents and friends at Prestonwood Country Club for a dinner in celebration of God’s blessings on the school over the past quarter century.

Robinson, known as “The Admiral,” began the day at a special morning chapel with middle and high school students at the school’s new Crossroads Campus in Cary.

Robinson played 14 seasons with the San Antonio Spurs in the National Basketball Association and helped lead the team to two championships.

At the dinner, Robinson captivated the audience once again with stories of his basketball years, his personal testimony and his vision for God’s calling on his life going forward.

“Having someone with the stature of David Robinson take the time to meet with our students and attend our dinner and share his relationship with Jesus Christ was truly a blessing to us,” said Don Payne, GRACE head of school. “It was an incredible way to celebrate 25 years of Christian service to the Triangle community.”

Grace Christian School opened its new Crossroads Campus at 1101 Buck Jones Road in August. The new campus houses grades seven through 12.

Grades kindergarten through six are housed at the school’s other campus, located at 801 Buck Jones Road.

Grace Christian School is a loving community that spiritually and academically equips, challenges and inspires students to impact their world for Christ.

Originally founded as Mt. Olivet Christian Academy, Grace Christian School has provided a quality Christian education to families in the Triangle for 25 years.

Grace Christian School offers grades kindergarten through 12 along with quality sports, arts and extracurricular programs.
