CARPENTER ELEMENTARYCarpenter Elementary School will have a carnival on from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Nov. 14 at 2100 Morrisville Pkwy., Cary. Advance tickets are $10 per child. Tickets at the door will be $12 per child. Children under 3 are free. The cost of the tickets includes games, prizes, face painting, balloon art, inflatables and entertainment. CARY ACADEMYCary Academy's annual book fair will be held at Barnes & Noble from Thursday through next Sunday.
The school's library will receive a percentage of sales made at any Barnes & Noble on those four days. To benefit CA, all anyone needs to do is turn in a book fair voucher with the book fair number 526178 when making a purchase.
CARY ELEMENTARY SCHOOLCiCi's Pizza at 683 Cary Towne Blvd. is helping Cary Elementary raise money. On the first and third Tuesdays of each month, from 5 to 9 p.m., mention to your server that you are from Cary Elementary, and a percentage of your meal will be given to our school.
CARY HIGH SCHOOLThe Cary High Navy JROTC Drill and Field Teams competed in the Smithfield-Selma Drill and Field Meet, and finished second out of eleven teams from throughout eastern and central North Carolina.
Noodles and Company's new location will have Cary High Night from 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday. All of their sales will be donated back to Cary High School.The new location is at 200 Crossroads Blvd. in Cary.
DAVIS DRIVE MIDDLEDavis Drive Middle School welcomes assistant principal Eric Betheil. For the past three years, Betheil has taught English at Wakefield High School. He recently completed graduate work in School Administration at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a veteran teacher of 12 years. Betheil's first day will be Tuesday.
GRACE CHRISTIAN SCHOOL The middle school boys soccer team were the champions of the Triangle Middle School Conference tournament.
The varsity girls cross country team were the champions of the Carolina Christian Conference.
Open houses for prospective students will be held in November. Grades 7 to 12 will meet at the Crossroads campus at 9 a.m. every Tuesday. Kindergarten through sixth-grade classes will meet at the Raleigh campus at 9 a.m. every Wednesday. For more, visit

The school participated in a mission event at the Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina. Students helped sort more than 22,000 pounds of food that will help needy families during the upcoming holiday season.
GREEN HOPE HIGH SCHOOLThe marching band competed at the Capital City Band Expo at Sanderson High School. In preliminary competition, the band competed in class 3A, and received the following awards: first place, drum major; first place, guard; first place, percussion; first place, general effect; first place, visual performance; first place, music. In the finals, the band received an overall score of a 92 and second place for the day.
PANTHER CREEK HIGH SCHOOLPanther Creek High School Theatre Arts will present "JungalBook" at 7 p.m. on Nov. 12, and at 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. on Nov. 14 in the Panther Creek High School Auditorium, 6770 McCrimmon Parkway, Cary. Tickets are $5. General admission seating. Tickets available at the door. The one hour play is an adaptation from Rudyard Kipling's "The Jungle Book."
