ATHENS DRIVE HIGH

Lee Ball, art department chairman, paired with another WCPSS art teacher and received the grand prize in the adult category at the SparkCon sidewalk chalk competition.

The National Technical Honor Society has been awarded 20 azaleas from the N.C. Beautiful and WRAL-TV/Mix 101.5 Radio Azalea Celebration.

Congratulations to the marching band for their placements at the annual Panther Creek Invitational: Kyle Wrenn and Andrew Kessler, second place Drum Major, second place in Visual Performance and third place overall.

CARY JAYCEES GRANTS

The Cary Jaycees are providing four $500 grants for teachers at Cary-area schools to help with classroom supplies. Application deadline is Oct. 15. For information, visit caryjaycees.org or call 919-406-6200.

DILLARD DRIVE MIDDLE
