CARY ACADEMY Aneesh Kodali ('10) attended the Summer Program in Entrepreneurship and Free Enterprise at the Lundy-Fetterman School of Business at Campbell University in June. This first-year program introduced high school students to the fundamentals of market-based economics, free enterprise and entrepreneurship.
Kjersti Kleine ('13) received one of the highest awards Girl Scouting has to offer. She completed the five requirements needed to achieve the highest awed in Cadette Girl Scouting, the Girl Scout Silver Award. This award challenges middle school-aged Girl Scouts to excel in leadership, community service, career planning and personal development.
Maggie Kneifel ('11) received a merit scholarship to attend the Summer College for Biotechnology and Life Sciences (SCIBLS) program, held this summer at N.C. State University. SCIBLS is a four-week program for college credit taught by professors in N.C. State's College of Agriculture and Life Sciences and is sponsored by the Center for Integrated Fungal Research, the Burroughs Wellcome Fund and the National Science Foundation.
CARY ELEMENTARY Meet the Teacher Day is Friday from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. The PTA will host a membership drive and hold a general meeting at 12 p.m.
CARY HIGH SCHOOL The 30th anniversary reunion for the CHS Class of 79 is scheduled for homecoming weekend, Oct. 9 and 10.Information about the events planned can be found at .
