As the parent of a special-needs child, I had to call (911) one night because my son has asthma. The Cary Fire Department came and EMS followed. They were professional, prompt, knowledgeable about treatment and sincere regarding my son's health.

The Town of Cary is blessed to have the Triangle Aquatic Center. This facility is used for swim teams and recreation for people passionate about swimming as a sport and as a serious way to stay in shape.

A few weeks ago the Town of Cary staff and elected officials, completed their weekend getaway in Wilmington by floating a trial balloon suggesting it would be necessary to increase taxes and to have a multi-million dollar bond issue to carry on plans for the 2012-13 fiscal year.

For close to 30 years Athens Drive High School has waited patiently for the city of Raleigh and the Wake County school system to work together to provide simple improvements that at the very least would allow stadium access to the handicapped, simple bathroom facilities for student athletes and a paved parking lot.
