DavisandHighHouse.org is composed of residents who live in District A. We are not a "vocal minority" or a "liberal fringe group." We are Jennifer Robinson's constituents and neighbors. Many of us voted for her in previous Cary Town Council elections but can no longer do so.

Citizens and residents in District A are concerned about our homes, our neighborhoods and our quality of life.

This concern is inclusive of all of District A, east and west of N.C. 55, with a particular focus on the threat that inappropriate and dense development poses for the community's water supply in Jordan Lake.

Consider the acres of land west of N.C. 55 that have been clear cut to allow for incredibly dense development as well as the huge projects --including hotels, parking decks, hundreds of apartments, and the hundreds of thousands of square feet of retail space --proposed by large development corporations that have been approved for intersections within residential neighborhoods in Cary.

Market fluctuations, and the interests of out-of-town and out-of-state corporations, cannot be allowed to determine Cary's future.

It is clear that we need an elected official who listens to and represents the community's desire to protect Cary from exploitation by profiteers and who will work to enhance Cary by voting for appropriate, balanced growth.

The results of the Cary mayoral elections in 2007 --which replaced Ernie McAllister with balanced growth proponent Mayor Harold Weinbrecht --and more recently, Lori Bush's more than 42 percent of the vote in a four-way contest for the District A Town Council seat clearly show that DHH is only one voice in the community concerned about equitable and responsible management of growth in Cary.

The mission of DavisandHighHouse.org is to preserve neighborhood quality of life with development density appropriate to our residential communities.

DavisandHighHouse.org continues to serve as a voice for individual citizens, as a focal point for community action, and will encourage voters to support candidates who are committed to a balanced approach to growth.

Jennifer Robinson has had over two years since the last election to reach out to, or even respond to, the concerns of her constituents.

The fact that she has not done that -- and is now attempting to portray herself as a victim of citizens in her own district -- speaks clearly to the need for new leadership in District A.

DHH endorses the candidate whom we believe can provide the leadership that residents want and best represent the citizens in Cary's District A --Lori Bush.
