Max Phillip Icenhour Sr., age 78, died Monday, Oct. 12 at Wake Med Hospital. He was born Feb. 2, 1931, in Taylorsville, to the late Parks Garland and Obelia (Morrison) Icenhour. He was a 1958 graduate of UNC and proudly served with the United States Army in the Korean War. His survivors include his loving wife of 57 years, Virginia, children, MaryAnne, Phillip Jr., Teresa, and Michael, and grandchildren, Jessica, Kristin, Daniel, Shanon,Ginny, Taylor, Amy, Lauren, and Grayson. Services will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 14 at 1 p.m.at Brown Wynne Funeral Home, 200 SE Maynard Road, Cary, NC. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Wake Memorial Park where military honors will be performed.
