Charles “Nick” Pleasants Sr., 90, a lifelong resident of Cary, went home to the Lord Sept. 18. He was born on April 6, 1919 to Ida Cook Pleasants and Alpheus Harrison Pleasants.

Pleasants is survived by his son Charles Pleasants Jr. (Megan), daughter Barbara Askew (Ben), four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, sister Bertha Daniel, sister Ruby Britt, brother-in-law John King, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife Martha Rose Holleman Pleasants.

A funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday, Sept. 21 at First United Methodist Church in Cary. Burial will follow at Raleigh Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 20 at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home in Cary.
