Prekler was born Oct. 18, 1920 in Harmony to James Eli and Essie (Current) Stine.

Prekler is survived by her son Jim (Vida) Prekler of Painesville, OH; daughter Roberta (Ron) Hopewell of New Hill; adopted son David (Jennifer) Janda; grandchildren Richard, Lynn, Tom (Melody), Jason (Catherine) and Tara(Mike); great-grandchildren Shawn, Aaron, Ben, John Samuel, Garrison, Hunter, Tyler and Logan; great-great-grandchild Sean; and a sister-in-law Treva Stine.

A funeral service celebrating her life will be held 11 a.m., Monday, Sept. 21 with Rev. Owen Barrow officiating at Apex United Methodist Church, 1000 S. Hughes St., Apex. Visitation is from 3 – 5 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 20 at Apex Funeral Home, 550 W. Williams St. (Hwy 55), Apex, NC 27502. Burial will follow in Apex Cemetery.
