Thomas F. Wrinn, 98, died Sept. 15. He was born in Southington, CT on Jan. 4, 1911 to Thomas Francis Wrinn and Mary Carrington Wrinn.Wrinn spent his career in the tool business, retiring from Cooper Tools. He was a parishioner at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Cary and a member of the Golden K. He enjoyed playing bridge and spending time with friends at the Cary Senior Center. Most importantly, he was a dedicated family man.Wrinn is survived by his children, Sheila Lacourciere (William) of Cheshire, CT, Thomas Wrinn III (Carolyn) of Hamburg, NY, Michael J. Wrinn of Raleigh and Stephen J. Wrinn (Deborah Ross) of Raleigh; grandchildren, Faith Weiss (Jim), Karen Bertoni (Brian), Bill Lacourciere (Linda), Thomas Wrinn IV (Courtney) and Jonathan Wrinn (Leigh Ann); great grandchildren, Erica, Michael, Lauren, Brian, Sara, Angelina, Isabell, Thomas V and Jane.He was preceded in death by the love of his life, Esther Wrinn, after 59 years of marriage.
A funeral mass will be held 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 18 at Saint Michael the Archangel Catholic Church. Later in the afternoon, at 4:30 p.m. a graveside service will be held at Oakwood Cemetery in Raleigh.The family will receive friends from 6-7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 17, 2009 at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home in Cary.In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to Saint Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, 804 High House Road, Cary, NC 27513.Condolences may be sent through the guest book at www.brownwynne.com.
