William Edward Clark, 72, of 1829 Olive Chapel Rd., Apex, lost his battle with cancer and went home to be with his Lord on Sept. 12.

He served active duty in the U.S. Navy for 4 years and in the reserves for 2 years. Over the past several years he’d been enjoying retired life.

A funeral service celebrating his live will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, Sept.15, in the Apex Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jay Fogleman officiating. Family will receive friends at the Apex Funeral Home from 12 p.m. until 3 p.m. prior to the service.

Surviving are his wife Betsy Clark, a son Mike Clark and wife Teresa of Apex and their two sons Tyler & Mason, a granddaughter Heather Clark of Fuquay Varina, a brother Curtis Clark and wife Doris of Durham, and a sister Joyce Adams and husband John of Willow Springs.

The family would like to extend their thanks to Cancer Centers of North Carolina and especially to Dr. Alan Kritz.
