Thurman Waddell Earp, 76, of Cary, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, Sept. 10 at Rex Hospital, Raleigh. Earp was born Aug. 20, 1933 in Wake County to Joseph and Lucille (Stephenson) Earp.

He is survived by two daughters, Sandra Trunick and husband Kevin of Clayton; and Tammie Earp Marcom and husband Rick of Raleigh; grandchildren Chris and Brandi Trunick, Hanna Muwaqat, Jasmine and Quentin Byrd; brother Carl Thomas “Tommy” Earp of Clinton; and several cousins, nieces and nephews. He joins in Heaven his wife Barbara Ann Bunn Earp who preceded him on March 5, 2009; daughter Gayle Earp Brown and brother Joseph Alsey Earp Jr.

The family will receive friends from 5 – 7 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 13 at Apex Funeral Home, 550 West Williams St. (Hwy 55), Apex.
