Cary police are investigating a robbery at Pizza Hut, 920 N.E. Maynard Road. About 10:55 p.m. June 27 an employee was in front of the store cleaning a table when he was approached by a black male who said he had come to pick up a pizza. When the employee went behind the register, the suspect demanded money. After receiving an undisclosed amount of cash, the suspect fled on foot.

• A Cary man reported that someone used his identity to open an account with T-Mobile in March or April. The man learned of the fraud when he received a call from a collection agency. The man said he did not have a T-Mobile account.

• An employee of Hair and Face Lounge, 237 W. Chatham St., reported going into the business about 8 a.m. June 25 and finding the rear door unlocked. It appeared entry was made through a rear window. It did not appear any property was taken.

• Someone kicked in the door from the garage to a house under construction on Greystone West Way between 5 p.m. June 27 and 7:20 p.m. June 28. An oven and cook top were taken.

• Someone smashed the driver’s-side window of a vehicle at Harris Teeter, 1151 Tryon Village Drive, between 5:25 and 5:30 p.m. June 28. A computer that had been purchased earlier in the afternoon and was still in the box was taken.

• A Cary man faces a hit-and-run charge. Khaled Shah, 32, of 104 Angora Court, is alleged to have left the scene of a four-vehicle collision at Northeast Maynard and Reedy Creek roads about 5:14 p.m. June 28. He was charged at his home about 6:30 p.m.

• Someone took golf clubs and a golf-club bag from a garage on Whisperwood Drive between 1:30 and 3:30 p.m. June 28. The victim was cutting his grass at the time.

• GPS units were taken from two vehicles in the Crossroads area between 1:45 and 3:15 p.m. June 28. Both vehicles, one at Crossroads 20, 501 Caitboo Ave. and the other at Rugged Wearhouse, 1297 Buck Jones Road, had windows broken out. A third vehicle, at Target, 2021 Walnut St., also had a window broken during the same period but it did not appear any property was missing.

• A necklace with a diamond, earrings and a jewelry box were taken from a vehicle on South Atley Lane between 8 a.m. June 26 and noon June 28. It is unknown if the vehicle was locked.

• Someone smashed out the driver’s-side window of a vehicle on Brook Arbor Drive between 9 p.m. June 27 and 8:22 a.m. June 28. A GPS unit was taken.

• An attempted larceny from a motor vehicle was reported on East Canopy Oak Court about 6:38 p.m. June 27. A suspect was released without charge after the victim declined to press charges.

• Driver’s-side windows on four vehicles on Waterford Lake Drive were smashed between 12:15 and 7:30 a.m. June 27. Four GPS units and a radio were taken.

• A Cary woman reported that on June 19 and June 20 someone used her credit-card account to make three separate internet purchases totalling $165.

• A washer and dryer were reported taken from a vacant home on Bog Hill Lane between 4:30 p.m. June 25 and 10:30 a.m. June 26.
