• An employee at Lowes Home Improvement at 1920 N.W. Maynard Road in Cary allegedly threw his smock at his manager and caused a disturbance in the store on June 21 at 8:34 p.m. The manager had found the 25- year-old male reportedly not doing his job and fired him on the spot, precipitating the smock-throwing incident. When police arrived, the former employee had left the premises and the manager didn’t wish to prosecute.

• On June 21 at 7:57 p.m., a North Carolina temporary 30-day license plate tag was stolen from a 2008 Kia on Hempstead Court in Cary.

• The Subway sandwich shop at 2444 S.W. Cary Parkway in Cary reported a fake $10 bill was tendered to the shop at 7:10 p.m. on June 21.

• The referee of a soccer game at WakeMed Soccer Park, 201 Soccer Park Drive in Cary, called police when two teams scuffled on the field at 10:40 a.m. on June 21. Once police arrived, one team had left and the other was asked to leave. There were no reported injuries.

• Over $5,000 in equipment and tools were reported stolen from a backyard storage shed at 1014 Pond St. in Cary between June 20 and 21. The larceny was reported on June 21 at 6:25 a.m. when the homeowner discovered a lawn mower, weed eater, hammer drill, mitre saw, chain saw and other miscellaneous tools missing. There are no suspects.

• The Blockbuster at 2700 N.C. 55 in Cary reported a shoplifting on June 20 at 7:41 p.m. Two DVDs, valued at $30, were allegedly stolen.

• In what police described as a road rage incident, a 46-year-old man used “a lot of profanity” and threatened to “kill” a 33-year-old woman at 1100 N.W. Cary Parkway and Evans Road at 9:27 a.m. on June 20.The man was cited for “communicating threats.”

• A drunk and disorderly man drew police to the Circle K at 1001 N. Harrison Ave. in Cary at 2:40 a.m. on June 20. According to the attendant, the 26-year-old man was screaming at the locked door while the attendant was using the restroom. After entering and being denied beer, the man used racial slurs and “other colorful remarks.” After the attendant called the police, the man continued cursing and was arrested.

• A 31-year-old resident of Holly Springs found a $100 dollar bill at a family entertainment facility in Cary and reported it to police on June 20 at 7:30 p.m. The owner has not been located.
