• An assistant manager at Kentucky Fried Chicken on North Harrison Avenue reported to police on May 21 that someone had stolen $270 from an office located inside the restaurant. The assistant manager said she was preparing to count money from a cash drawer when she left the money on top of the drawer in the office. She left the room for a few minutes and returned to find the money missing. Police have possible suspects in the case.

• Police charged a Cary man at 10:19 p.m. May 21 with several drug violations during a traffic stop on Davis Drive near the intersection with Council Gap Court. After stopping him for a headlight violation, an officer asked for and received permission to search the car, driven by Denfield Cory Feracho, 19, of 201 Ruthwin Drive in Morrisville. The officer found three small bags filled with marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Feracho stands charged with possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana, maintaining a vehicle for possession or distribution of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia.

• An employee of Crown Handee Hugo’s on Southwest Cary Parkway reported to police that the store had twice received counterfeit bills between April 21 and May 21. Officers said the employee had no concrete information about any suspects who might have passed the fake $100 and $20 bills.

• On May 21, Cary police charged an employee of Burlington Coat Factory on Buck Jones Road who was caught on video days earlier giving away merchandise to some of his friends. Officers said Mark Barnette, 18, of 413 Morningside Drive, pretended to scan about $150 in clothing items for friends on May 15. Barnette is charged with one count of embezzlement.

• The following people have been charged with driving while impaired: Marnell Adeena Fitzpatrick, 33, of 824 Old Apex Road, on May 20 in the 800-block of North Harrison Avenue; Chase Perry Stockham, 24, of 1600 Morganton Road, on May 20 in the 6000-block of U.S. 1.
