Someone took $700 cash from a vehicle at Toys ‘R’ Us, 201 Crossroads Blvd., between 6:30 and 8:15 p.m. June 8. It not certain if the vehicle was secured.

• Two storm grates valued at $1,000 were reported taken from Cary Towne Center, 1105 Walnut St., between 9 p.m. June 7 and 8 a.m. June 8.

• A Cary man reported being robbed about 10:55 p.m. June 6 at Harrison’s Motel, 607 E. Chatham St. The man said it was dark when he was hit by an unknown person with an unknown object on the left side of his face. The man said he felt somebody going through his pockets after he was attacked. Three undisclosed items were taken.

• A woman from Medina, Ohio reported that someone using a Cary address used her American Express account to purchase two items of clothing from Diesel between May 21 and May 23.

• An employee with Avcon Inc., 101 Triangle Trade Drive 101, reported that the business was contacted by check-cashing businesses that two fraudulent checks in the name of the company were passed on May 30.

• A scanner was taken from a vehicle on Byram’s Ford Drive between 8:30 p.m. June 8 and 9 a.m. June 9. It is unknown if the vehicle was locked.

• Eight necklaces, 14 earrings, 21 bracelets and 17 rings valued at a total of $5,800, were taken from a home on Pond Street between 9 a.m. and 2:45 p.m. June 9. It is believed entry was made through a side door.

• The door to a utility trailer on Vickie Drive was found open about 9:39 a.m. May 15. An edger, weed wacker and two blowers were missing.

• Police are investigating a series of business break-ins where a rock has been used to smash a window. Police responded to an alarm call at Avalon Cleaners, 686 Cary Towne Blvd., about 6:20 a.m. June 10. Currency and coin amounting to $110 were taken. The same method was used to enter Impressions Hair Salon, 8204 Tryon Woods Drive Suite 111, between 7:30 p.m. June 12 and 2:59 a.m. June 13, where $20 was taken. A window was also broken at Jill’s Beach, 8204 Tryon Woods Drive Suite 117 between 2:52 and 2:57 a.m. June 13, although it did not appear any property was missing.

• Six unlocked vehicles on Kingswood Drive were entered between 1 a.m. June 9 and 6:26 a.m. June 10. Two GPS units, a driver’s license, wallet, credit card, debit card and $35 cash were taken.

• Two unlocked vehicles on Covngton Square Drive were entered between 10 p.m. June 11 and 7 a.m. June 12. A satellite radio was taken.

• An employee of Carolina Express Deliveries, 200 Innovation Drive, reported that the company received four counterfeit money orders totallling $1,530 in April. The suspect used a fictitious address.

• Cary police responded to a call of four people fighting on Walcott Way about 8:25 p.m. June 11. When officers arrived, a neighbor reported having seen two teenagers walking out of a garage drinking bottles of Mike’s Hard Lemonade. When the neighbor confronted the teens, they threw the bottles and took off.

• Cary police have recently charged the following people with driving while impaired: Tiffany Juanita Jones, 24, of 520 Wickham Place, charged about 3:41 a.m. June 1 at 7900 Chapel Hill Road; Sarah Lowe Vivrette, 53, of 103 Candy Apple Court, charged about 10:25 p.m. May 27 on High House Road; Patrick Kyle Joyce, 25, of 6916 Saxby Court, Raleigh, charged about 2:06 a.m. June 8 at 1032 N. Harrison Ave.; Merino Enriquez Martin, 28, of 309 Hastings Place, charged about 2:29 a.m. June 7 at 309 Hastings Place; Luis David Salinas-Vazquez, 33, of 210 Wrenn Drive Apartment H, charged about 4:45 a.m. May 31 at High House Road and Castalia Drive.
