Someone entered a construction site on Regency Parkway between May 23 and 27 and stole six spools of copper wire and 32 copper wire cables, valued at a total of $10,000. The building’s frame was up, but there were no doors to prevent entry.

• A woman on Ellynn Drive reported that between May 22 and 27, her car’s gas tank lost half it’s volume, $50 worth of gasoline. She did not drive her car during that time.

• Someone entered a home on Caniff Lane through an open window on March 14 between 6:50 a.m. and 12:45 p.m. and stole a Dell laptop valued at $1,200. No one was home at the time.

• Someone smashed the rear window of a vehicle on Queensferry Road between 7:30 p.m. May 21 and 12:30 p.m. May 22. Golf clubs and accessories valued at $2,660 were taken.

• A miter saw, brad nailer, brad stapler, router saw, planer, finish nailer and various hand tools were taken from an unlocked vehicle on William Henry Way between 4:45 p.m. May 21 and 9 a.m. May 22.

• Cary police have arrested a wanted Spencer man. Juan Pablo Santa Mar Hernandez, 24, of 406 N. Yadkin Ave., Spencer, was charged about 3:45 p.m. May 21 at 102 Kitty Hawk Drive with indecent liberties with a child. Hernandez was wanted on a warrant from Kannapolis.

• A man from Marietta, S.C. reported that during his stay at Courtyard By Marriott, 102 Edinburgh S. Drive, between May 22 and May 27, someone attempted to enter his vehicle by kicking the door handle.

• A Raleigh man reported May 27 that someone took a charge card from his unlocked vehicle at Haddock Collision, 1661 N.W. Maynard Road, between March 28 and April 9. The card was later used at Wal-Mart in Siler City.

• A driver, wood, nine irons, three wedges, a putter and golf bag were taken from an unlocked vehicle on Bruce Drive between 8 a.m. May 25 and 9 a.m. May 26.

• A Cary woman faces an embezzlement charge. Amanda Nicole Leslie, 25, of 130 Cricketgrass Drive, was charged May 28 at the Wake County Public Safety Center in Raleigh. Shortly after the owner of N.Y. Bagel, 2050 Kildaire Farm Road, installed surveillance cameras on May 15, the register was found to be $147 short.

• Cary police have recently charged the following people with driving while impaired: Christina Jean Manchester, 24, of 1118 Ivy Lane, charged at 2:35 a.m. May 24 at 7500 Chapel Hill Road; Carlos Javier Pittman, 22, of 4120 Carrington St., Fort Bragg, charged about 1 a.m. May 18 at 1000 E. Chatham St.
