A television was taken from a home on North Dixon Avenue between 11:45 p.m. May 16 and 2:30 a.m. May 17. There were no signs of forced entry.

• A steam cleaner and $490 in currency were taken from an unlocked vehicle at CVS, 2994 Kildaire Farm Road, between 11:53 a.m. and 12:15 p.m. May 16.

• Someone busted out the passenger-side window of a vehicle on Warren Street between 11 p.m. May 15 and 11:30 a.m. May 16. A camera and $500 in currency were taken.

• Someone broke out the driver’s- side windows on three vehicles on Resident Circle between 6 p.m. May 15 and 6:43 a.m. May 16. A CD player and navigation system and two stereo CD players were taken.

• A computer, computer bag and headphones were taken from an apartment on Audobon Parc Drive between 7 and 7:40 a.m. May 13. Apartment staff went in to clean the unit, believing it was not occupied. The items were missing after the cleaning.

• A Cary woman reported that while she was asleep during the evening of May 19 and morning of May 20, someone used her key to take her white 2004 Chevrolet Cavalier bearing North Carolina license plate VRJ 6463 from her home on Rosedown Drive. There is a suspect.

• A generator and pole sander valued at a total of $1,300 were taken from a construction site on Beckingham Loop between 6:30 and 6:45 p.m. May 19.

• A Raleigh man reported that his blue 2001 Nissan Xterra bearing North Carolina license plate XRB 7249 was taken from Chevis Drive between 4 p.m. May 16 and 1 p.m May 17. There was no broken glass.

• A woman from Castle Hayne reported May 19 that she got a call from a collection agency on behalf of Progress Energy for charges of $441.78 at a home on Ribbon Lane. The charges are for the period between December and February.

• A lock was pried and a door forced open at an apartment on Harlon Drive between 8 a.m. and noon May 19. Nothing appeared to be missing.

• Two unlocked vehicles on Custer Trail had GPS units taken from them between 8:07 p.m. May 17 and 1 p.m. May 18.

• Someone attempted to pry the front and rear doors at Tone Zone Music, 100 Parkthrough St., between 3 p.m. May 18 and 11 a.m. May 19.

• A counterfeit $100 bill was passed at Days Inn, 1716 Walnut St., between 5 and 11:59 p.m. May 16. The counterfeit was discovered when it was taken to the bank May 19.

• A traffic stop led to several charges for a Virginia man. Cary police were operating a checkpoint on East Chatham Street about 11:51 p.m. May 17 when they stopped Allen Roger Brookner, 46, of 353 Henry Ave., Pulaski, Va. Brookner was charged with driving while license revoked and driving while impaired. In a subsequent search, a small bag of cocaine was found on his person. He also had an outstanding warrant from Virginia.

• A GPS unit and guitar were taken from unlocked vehicles on Trafalgar Lane between 4:45 p.m. May 16 and 9:45 a.m. May 17.

• Sixty cans of beer were taken from a refrigerator in an open garage on Frenchmans Bluff Drive between 10 a.m. and noon May 18.

• Cary police are continuing to investigate circumstances that led to a variety of drug charges for two men. William Chase Tucker, 23, of 6607 Lake Hill Drive, Raleigh and Theodros Tamre, 18, of 104 Terrace Drive F, were arrested in the parking lot of AMF South Hills Lane about 8 p.m. May 19. Tucker was charged with possession with intent to sell or distribute cocaine, maintaining a vehicle, possession of marijuana, possession of morphine pills, possession of paraphernalia and manufacturing a controlled substance. Tamre was charged with possession with intent to sell or distribute cocaine, possession of marijuana, possession of morphine pills, possession of paraphernalia and possession with intent to sell or deliver counterfeit cocaine.

• Cary police have recently charged the following people with driving while impaired: Jose Manuel Cuello-Romero, 28, of 550 S.W. Maynard Road, charged about 11:05 p.m. May 15 at 1050 N.W. Maynard Road; Richard Dean Hinkley, 43, of 978 Vineridge Run, Altamonte, Fla., charged about 2 a.m. May 16 at 100 Tarbert Drive.
