Someone smashed the front door of Triangle Hair & Nail, 2005 Walnut St., with a rock between 10:01 a.m. and 12:10 p.m. May 11.The cash register was gone through but it appears no cash was taken.

• Someone broke the front door glass of Learning Express, 6460 Tryon Road, with a rock between 9 p.m. May 10 and 12:53 a.m. May 11. A cash drawer and $200 in currency was taken.

• A Cary man reported being robbed while working on his court on Holly Hill Court. The victim said he was in the parking lot near his building about 4:40 p.m. May 10 when twosuspects approached and took his wallet, cash and other valuables. The victim believes one of the suspects had a handgun. The suspects left thearea on foot but were later observed in a white 1900s sedan.

• A Cary man faces charges for attempting to break into vehicles. An officer was dispatched to Appledown Drive about 11:35 p.m. May 9 on a call that someone was attempting to enter vehicles. The officer observed Marvin Concepcion Cruz-Romero, 21, of 1207 Village Green Drive A, walking along a trail near the area toward a grocery store. Shortly thereafter, the officer charged Cruz-Romero.

• Someone broke the window of an apartment of Jamie Court between 11:15 a.m. and 11:30 p.m. May 9. A laptop, DVD and VCR player and CD were taken.

• A Raleigh man reported that he believed he lost his credit card at Cary Towne Center, 1105 Walnut St. and that it had been used at several locations in Cary, including Hat Shack, Piercing Pagoda, Impress, Charlotte Russe and Champs for a total of $356.10. The card was also used in Holly Springs and Apex.

• A computer and cellphone were taken from a vehicle at Gold’s Gym, 1311 Kildaire Farm Road, between 5:45 and 7 p.m. May 8. A computer and cell phone were taken. It is unknown if the vehicle was locked.

• Two unlocked vehicles on Inverness Court were entered between 2:45 and 7 a.m. May 8. Six dollars in currency was taken.

• Cary police have recently charged the following people with driving while impaired: Jamie Alesia Shepherd, 24, of 8464 Southcreek Road, Willow Spring, charged about 11:55 p.m. May 9 on Trinity Road.
