Cary

An employee of Trademark Roofing in Holly Springs reported to Cary police that 66 bundles of roofing shingles, worth an estimated $1,600, were stolen sometime between 7 p.m. Sept. 1 and 10 a.m. Sept. 2 from a construction site on Brave River Court.

Cary police are investigating a possible armed robbery that occurred about 4 a.m. on Sept. 5 outside a home on Pond Street. The victim, a 34-year-old man, told officers he lost a gold chain worth $235 in the robbery.

A male suspect reportedly stole two diamond rings, worth a combined $20,000, from Johnson's Jewelers on East Chatham Street. The incident happened about 2 p.m. on Sept. 3. The suspect is described as a six-foot-two, heavyset male in his mid-20s. He was last seen wearing khaki shorts, a yellow T-shirt and white tennis shoes.

Apex

A vehicle was entered on Scotts Ridge Trail between 8 p.m. on Sept. 5 and 7:14 a.m. Sept. 8. A GPS unit and an iPod Nano were taken.

Apex police charged Jose Luis Olivia Bacho, 23, with driving while impaired. Bacho, of 712 Chappell Drive in Raleigh, was charged about 9:10 a.m. Sept. 5 at Mark Weaver Lane and East Williams Street.

Fuquay-Varina

Someone cut the electrical wiring at a construction site on Johnson Pond Road between 7 p.m. Sept. 1 and 5:15 a.m. Sept. 2. Copper wire valued at $8,000 was taken.

Counterfeit currency was used at the North Carolina DMV at 131 S. Fuquay Ave. about 2:23 p.m. on Sept. 3.

Someone took an unsecured bicycle from behind a home on South Main Street about 7:05 p.m. on Sept. 6. The bicycle was valued at $1,500.

A Spring Avenue home was entered through a rear window about 2:23 p.m. Sept. 7. Two Sharp televisions were taken.

Holly Springs

Five counterfeit $20 bills were used at the Walmart at 7016 GB Alford Highway between 6:30 p.m. Sept. 1 and 3:15 p.m. Sept. 2.

A home on Ballentine Street was entered between July 4 and 8:57 a.m. on Sept. 3. An undetermined amount of jewelry was taken.

Someone forcibly entered a home on Lake Song Circle through the rear door between 4:50 and 4:58 a.m. Sept. 5. A wallet containing $1,200 cash was taken.

Holly Springs police charged Bobbie Bullock, 36, of 125 Ashley Court in Apex, with possession of cocaine, assault on a government official, resisting or obstructing a public officer and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was charged about 9:27 p.m. Sept. 5, after a traffic stop on Holly Springs Road.

Holly Springs police charged Abel Gallegos Villanueva, 23, of 305 Lynch St. in Apex, with identity theft about 8:52 a.m. Sept. 6. Villanueva produced fraudulent identification at a traffic stop at G.B. Alford Highway and Green Oaks Parkway.

Holly Springs police charged Antonio Lynn Battle, 20, of 207 Nicholson Road in Garner with possession of marijuana with intent to sell or distribute and counterfeiting. He was charged about 2:04 p.m. on Sept. 6 at G.B. Alford Highway and Old Smithfield Road. The suspect was stopped for a window tint violation.

A home on Estes Lane was entered between 3 p.m. on Sept. 7 and 9:43 a.m. Sept. 8. Twelve cases of steaks valued at $1,200 were taken.
