Cary An employee of Raleigh-based Pulte Homes reported to Cary police that someone had stolen four rolls of copper tubing, each worth an estimated $700, from four houses under construction in the 300 block of Alliance Circle.
The thefts occurred between 3 p.m. on Aug. 28 and 8 a.m. on Aug. 31.
A Cary woman told police she suspected her son in the theft of $2,550 in personal property.
She said power tools, electronics and a gold ring were taken from her home on Gingergate Drive.
The mother said items began disappearing from her home in early Aug., shortly after she kicked her son out of the house for abusing drugs.
Apex A license plate was taken from a vehicle in a parking lot at 534 E. Williams St. between 5 p.m. Aug. 25 and 8:45 a.m. Aug. 26.
Someone entered a vehicle on Walden Woods Drive between 10 p.m. Aug. 23 and 10 a.m. Aug. 24. A GPS unit was taken.
A home was broken into on Manderston Lane about 10:45 p.m. Aug. 28.
A 24-pack of Miller Lite beer and a 12-pack of Shiners beer were taken.
Someone stole a white Ford Windstar from 5490 Apex Peakway about 1:29 a.m. Aug. 29.
Apex police recently charged the following people with driving while impaired: Daniela Cecilia Sanchez, 27, of 100 Sanchez Court, Holly Springs, charged about 9:15 p.m. Aug. 26 at East Williams Street and James Street; Victor Benitez Jaramillo, 32, 5713 Mosley Ave., charged about 12:01 a.m. Aug. 27; Robert Mullinax III, 17, of 5017 Watkins Road, Wendell, charged about 12:40 a.m. Aug. 29 at Wendell Boulevard and Eagle Rock Road; Troy Randy Williams, 54, of 4886 Pea Ridge Road, New Hill, charged about 11:46 p.m. Aug. 29 at US Highway 64 and Kelly Road.
Fuquay-Varina Fuquay-Varina police charged Eric Lee Johnson, 50, of 815 Postell St., Raleigh, with counterfeiting, distributing and obtaining money by false pretense about 2:07 p.m. Aug. 26.
He was arrested shortly after attempting to pass a counterfeit check at Four Oaks Bank at 325 N. Judd Parkway.
Someone showed a knife to a clerk and demanded money at Best Cleaners at 722 N. Main St. about 6:48 p.m. Aug. 26. $150 in cash was taken.
A resident of Goal Kick Drive reported that their debit card had been used to make purchases online and in stores about 8:15 a.m. Aug. 25.
Someone passed a counterfeit $20 bill at Advanced Auto Parts at 1233 N. Main St. about 9:45 p.m. Aug. 26.
A resident of Maizefield Lane reported that their debit card was taken and used about 2:16 p.m. Aug. 28. $719 was taken using the card.
Someone entered an unlocked vehicle on Buck Johnson Road between 7 p.m. Aug. 26 and 10:02 p.m. Aug. 29. A GPS unit was taken.
A counterfeit $20 bill was passed at 1508 Broad St. between 5 p.m. and 5:20 p.m. Aug. 30. The counterfeit bill was given to a resident of Deck Drive.
Fuquay-Varina police recently charged the following person with driving while impaired: David Santiago Hernandez, 27, of 213 Cheyenne St., Fayetteville, charged about 12:15 a.m. Aug. 31 at 302 N. Main St.
Holly Springs A counterfeit check was passed at the Four Oaks Bank at 201 West Center St. between 1:30 p.m. and 2 p.m. Aug. 26.
Holly Springs police recently charged the following people with driving while impaired: Nicholas Lee Frisch, 18, of 112 Volta Place, charged about 5:06 p.m. Aug. 26 at GB Alford Highway and Avent Ferry Road; Joseph Stanford Sink, 44, of 1624 Avent Ferry Road, charged about 8:45 p.m. Aug. 26 at GB Alford Highway and Green Oaks Parkway; Jason Andrew Johnson, 34, of 701 Scissortail Lane, Apex, charged about 2:52 a.m. Aug. 30 at GB Alford Highway and Smithfield Highway.
