Apex
• A construction site on Ten Ten Road was entered between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. April 8. A gold diamond ring, a Toyota 4Runner, a hammer, a tape measure, a push broom and a fibergrass ladder were taken.

• Someone gained entrance to a home on Winter Hill Drive by breaking in the back door between 7:40 p.m. and 8:15 p.m. May 27. A Nikon N60 camera, a telephoto lens and a camera case were taken.

• A vehicle was entered on Reunion Park Drive between 8:30 p.m. May 25 and 7:30 a.m. May 26. Various clothing from New York and Company, a Sony digital camera and an 80GB black iPod were taken.

• A storage unit at Apex Flex Storage at 1019 Investment Blvd. was broken into between 12:01 a.m. April 1 and 4:20 p.m. May 30. Two propane heaters, two shovels, three brooms, a table saw, two step ladders and two Rigid shop vacs were taken.

• Two Trek bicycles were taken from a home on Thorncrest Drive between 8 a.m. May 16 and 6 p.m. May 28.

• A vehicle was entered at a home on Lyndenbury Drive between 3 p.m. May 28 and 7 p.m. May 30. Multiple credit cards were taken.

• A vehicle was entered at Apex Community Park at 2200 Laura Duncan Road between 11:45 a.m. and 3:15 p.m. June 2. A planning book and a Dell laptop computer were taken.

• A resident of Summit Lake Drive reported that she was raped between 3:01 a.m. and 5:25 a.m. June 2. Neil Antonia McDougald, 24, of 330 S. Salisbury St., Raleigh, NC, was arrested and charged with forcible rape, sexual offense in the first degree and misdemeanor assault at about 9:15 a.m. June 3.

• Apex police recently charged the following people with driving while impaired: Melissa Joy Needle, 25, of 109 Symphony Court, Cary, NC, charged about 3:58 a.m. May 27 at U.S. Highway 1 and East Williams Street; Robert Edward McAlister, 44, of 4716 Sancroft Drive, charged about 1:30 a.m. May 31 at Center Street and U.S. Highway 1; Stephen Earl Caldwell, 32, of 5028 Kinderston Road, Holly Springs, NC, charged about 2:15 a.m. May 31 at U.S. Highway 1 and Center Street; Jeremiah David Emerson White, 29, of 300 Eagle Road, Newport, NC, charged about 1:30 a.m. June 3 at 2105 Ten Ten Road.

Fuquay-Varina
• Tools valued at $3,790 were taken from a van at Fuquay-Varina High School at 201 Bengal Road at about 4:18 p.m. May 21.

• An unlocked vehicle was entered at a home on Crestfield Drive between 9 p.m. May 21 and 8:30 a.m. May 22. Approximately 200 CDs and a CD case were taken.

• An unlocked vehicle was entered at a home on East Vance Street at about 10:04 p.m. May 23. Nothing was taken.

• Two weed wackers and two edgers were taken from the bed of a truck on Ashdale Drive between 9:30 p.m. May 22 and 5:30 p.m. May 25.

• Someone keyed a vehicle and stole its license plate at a home on Hillcrest Circle at about 10:52 p.m. May 30.

• Fuquay-Varina police recently charged the following people with driving while impaired: Sergey Vladimirovich Pudov, 23, 2322 Wrenn St., charged about 2:32 a.m. May 22 at North Main Street and U.S. Highway 55; Jamal Black, 36, of 430 Pete Warner Court, Hope Mills, NC, charged about 2:53 a.m. May 22 at U.S. 401 and Eakes Street; Malinda Dayle Byrd, 29, of 9033 Water Myatt Road, Willow Springs, NC, charged about 2:10 a.m. May 30 at 1656 North Main Street.

Holly Springs
• A resident of Sunset Lake Road reported an assault with a deadly weapon with intent to inflict serious injury at about 6 p.m. May 26. Ricky Lee McCoy, 23, of 947 Matthews Road, Lillington, NC, was arrested and charged with the crime at about 7 p.m. May 27.

• Someone entered a construction site on Village Walk Drive between 6:41 a.m. May 27 and 7:41 a.m. May 28. Copper wire and fittings were taken.

• An unlocked vehicle was entered on Blaylock Street between 11:25 p.m. May 30 and 12:01 a.m. May 31. A pocketbook and its contents were taken.

• A resident of Crossway Lane reported fraudulent charges made on their credit card between 5 p.m. May 29 and 9 a.m. June 1.
