Apex
• Someone entered a vehicle through an unlocked door at the Days Inn, 1400 E. Williams St., between 10 p.m. Feb. 13 and 12 p.m. Feb. 14. A Nintendo DS hand-held device, various Nintendo DS games and a Phillips DVD player were taken.
• Someone entered a vehicle through an unlocked door on Applethorn Drive between 10 p.m. Feb. 14 and 6 a.m. Feb. 15. A brown leather laptop bag was taken.
• Someone entered a vehicle by breaking a window at Bland Landscaping Company, 1200 Perry Road, between 6:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. Feb. 16. A Sony radio, Tom-Tom GPS unit, radio amplifier, two subwoofer speakers and $300 in cash were taken.
• Someone entered an open construction site on Lufkin Road between 8 a.m. Feb. 6. And 12 p.m. Feb. 17. Vinyl siding, 14-foot beams, studs, windows and copper wire were taken.
• Apex police have recently charged the following people with driving while impaired: Michael Joseph Scarlett, 49, of 2501-103 Tony Tank Lane, Raleigh, charged about 2:25 p.m. Feb. 14 at Center Street and Schieffelin Road; Thomas Edwin Burnmeister, 26, of 502 W. Chatham St., charged about 11:50 p.m. Feb. 16 at West Williams Parkway and Apex Parkway.

Holly Springs
• Someone entered a vehicle through an unlocked door on West Ballentine Street between 7 p.m. Feb. 10 and 7:30 a.m. Feb. 11. A GPS unit was taken.
• Someone entered a construction site near Sunset Lake Commons shopping center at about 6:30 p.m. Feb. 12. Tools valued at $2,650 were taken.
• Michael Thomas, of 5529 Berry Creek Circle, Raleigh, was arrested at Sunset Fairway and Holly Springs Road at 2:30 a.m. Feb. 13 for failure to register as a sex offender. He was stopped for a traffic violation and gave the officer an address other than the one on his identification. He failed to report his new address to the registry.
• Someone entered a vehicle through an unlocked door at Holly Springs Methodist Church, 108 Avent Ferry Road, between 10:45 a.m. and 2 p.m. Feb. 14. A wallet containing credit cards and $100 in cash was taken.
• A resident of Skygrove Drive reported a case of identity theft at 5:01 p.m. Feb. 14. The victim’s stolen bank card was used to make an out-of-state online purchase.
• Holly Springs police have recently charged the following people with driving while impaired: Millard Jason Barbour Jr., 66, of 913 Estes Lane, charged about 5:44 p.m. Feb. 11 at Grigsby Avenue and Morton Farm Road; Irving Anthony, 49, of 8712 Stephenson Road, Apex, charged about 7:14 p.m. Feb. 16 at Sunset Lake Road.

Fuquay-Varina
• Someone entered a vehicle through an unlocked door on East Spring Street between 9 p.m. Feb. 12 and 8 a.m. Feb. 13. A Garmin GPS unit was taken.
• Someone entered a vehicle through an unlocked door on South Fuquay Avenue between 9 p.m. Feb. 12 and 8 a.m. Feb. 13. A Garmin GPS unit and an XM radio receiver were taken.
• Someone threw a concrete block through the front door of Radioshack, 1009 East Broad St., between 6 p.m. Feb. 15 and 2:22 a.m. Feb. 16. A Dell laptop computer and a Samsung television were taken.
• Someone cut through the fencing at a storage facility at 2217 N. Main St. at about 3:24 p.m. Feb. 16. A $12,000 tractor, a $3,000 mower and a $50,000 track loader were taken.
