Someone entered a home on Lindemans Drive between 11 p.m. Nov. 4 and 7 a.m. Nov. 5 through an unlocked side garage door. A case of beer was taken.

• A Cary teen faces a burglary charge. Cody Ryan Baker, 17, of 115 Trappers Run Drive, had been kicked out of his house. He is alleged to have returned between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Nov. 4, kicked open a bedroom door and taken a cordless phone, jewelry box, mp3 player and $20 cash. He was picked up later that day.

• A Cary woman reported that she was approached to be a mystery shopper in late October. She was sent four money orders for $870 each through Western Union and was told to send a check for $3,319.99 to Wichita, Kan. and rate the service she received from Western Union.

• A radar detector was taken from an unlocked vehicle on Cromwell Court between 1 p.m. Oct. 31 and 1 p.m. Nov. 2.

• Cary police are investigating a prescription fraud reported at Rite Aid, 2711 Jones Franklin Road, on Nov. 3. A woman is alleged to have altered the strength prescribed for Xanax.

• A Cary woman reported that she received a bank statement indicating unauthorized payments from her account of $600 for cell-phone service between Oct. 25 and Nov. 5.

• A compact track loader was reported stolen from Briggs Construction Equipment, 1107 Trinity Road, between 5 p.m. Nov. 4 and 9 a.m. Nov. 5. The vehicle was located later nearby near Aeroglide.

• Someone used a stand from a nearby road sign to pry open a construction container on Alston Avenue between 5 p.m. Nov. 3 and 9:15 a.m. Nov. 6. A jumping-jack tamp, plate tamp and grade laser were taken.

• A generator was reported stolen from a house that had been unoccupied for several months. The theft is believed to have occurred between July 14 and Aug. 1. There were no signs of forced entry.

• A witness reported seeing a suspect break the window of a vehicle at Doctors Urgent Care, 1110 Kildaire Farm Road, about 11:45 a.m. Nov. 6. It did not appear any property was taken. While the suspect was in the act a red Lincoln Continental with a North Carolina license plate pulled up to him and he got in that car, which left the scene.

• Cary police have recently charged the following people with driving while impaired: Joseph Adam Ridge, 24, of 6610 Crescent Moon Court 108, charged about 3:25 a.m. Nov. 6 at 1105 Walnut St.
