A white male was observed walking out of a garage on Pond Bluff Way about 8:53 p.m. Aug. 19. He was described as 22 to 30 years old, 5 feet 11 inches to 6 feet 1 inch tall, 155 to 165 pounds, with medium length sculpted brown hair, slightly built, with a light complexion wearing a dark athletic T-shirt, athletic shorts and dark athletic shoes. Nothing appeared to be missing.
• Someone entered a garage on White Bloom Lane between 9 p.m. Aug. 17 and 9 a.m. Aug. 18 through an unlocked side entry door. A purse and $80 were taken from a vehicle in the garage.
• A Cary woman said that she ordered a diamond ring valued at $1,000 and that it was never delivered. The delivery service said it was delivered to an address on Eton Hall Lane on Aug. 11.
• A speed sentry was taken from a location near the intersection of Jenks Carpenter Road and Brook Fryar Lane between 2 p.m. Aug. 19 and noon Aug. 20. There are no witnesses or suspects.
• Police are investigating at Scotchman, 421 E. Chatham St. An internal investigation that indicated irregularities in register balances showed that $1,000 was missing.
• Ranges and microwaves were reported taken from two townhomes under construction on Summerhouse Road between 5 p.m. Aug. 6 and 8 a.m. Aug. 7. Pry marks were found on the entry doors from the garage to the home in both cases.
• Cary police have recently charged the following people with driving while impaired: Danford Scott Maddox, 46, of 307 N. McDonough Road, Griffin, Ga., charged about 12:20 a.m. Aug. 9 on U.S. 401; Nicholas Adam Dant, 28, of 1517 Laughridge Drive, charged about 1:24 a.m. Aug. 8 on Lake Pine Drive.
