Kids 'R' Kids donates $7,500 to Make-A-Wish

Kids 'R' Kids Schools of Quality Learning in Cary, Morrisville and Research Triangle Park raised more than $7,500 Oct. 17 at a family festival to benefit a Durham child through the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Eastern North Carolina. The event exceeded its original goal of $5,500.

New senior director

at Wharton Gladden

Timothy McPeak has joined the staff of Wharton Gladden & Company, a private real estate investment banking group. McPeak, senior director, was previously at Babcock & Brown in San Francisco and has 15 years of experience in finance and investment banking.

CFS announces new

senior project manager

William "Billy" Cashion has joined Corporate Facility Services as senior project manager. CFS is a full-service construction, project management and facility management company in Cary. Cashion has management responsibilities for commercial construction projects and serves as liaison between CFS, owners, design professionals and contractors in the Triangle and other southeastern states.

Linda Craft hires new

sales team members

Linda Craft and Team, realtor, has three new sales team members. JV Lavery, Kevin Starkey and Stephanie Kerr have joined as buyer and relocation specialists.

Lavery has six years of experience in real estate. Kerr was named "Rookie of the Month" for sales in September. Starkey has three years of experience in residential real estate.

Fuentek named finalist

for technology award

Fuentek has been selected as a finalist for the 2009 North Carolina Technology Association 21 Awards in the category of most innovative technology company. Winners will be recognized at the annual awards gala on Nov. 12 at the Embassy Suites in Cary.

The NCTA 21 Awards celebrate innovation and excellence. The annual showcase honors companies and individuals in 21 categories who represent the best and brightest in technology and business.

Railinc gives $10,000

to Habitat for Humanity

Railinc Corp. has donated $10,000 to Habitat for Humanity of Wake County. While the company provided financial support for one home, Railinc employees participated in the construction of seven new Habitat homes located in Falcone Point in Cary. Railinc also sponsored an employee 'ReStore collection' where employees donated their re-usable building materials, appliances and wood furniture to the Habitat ReStore.

Belk to hold

Fall Charity Sale

Belk's Fall Charity Sale on Nov. 7 will benefit local charities, schools and nonprofit organizations in the company's 16-state market area. Belk's previous Charity Sale, held May 2, raised more than $5 million for hundreds of nonprofit organizations.

In exchange for a $5 donation, customers will receive a ticket admitting them to the Charity Sale on Nov. 7 from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. Discounts range from 15 to 50 percent in the stores. Tickets are on sale by local charities and Belk stores.

Lucy Daniels Center

hosts symposium

The Lucy Daniels Center will host The National Alliance for Analytic Schools annual symposium on Nov. 6-8. Registration is open to professionals and graduate students in the field of mental health with particular interest in working with children. Continuing Education credits can be provided through the N.C. Psychoanalytic Society. The Lucy Daniels Center is devoted to promoting the healthy emotional development of young children.
