APEX BAPTIST CHURCH

Apex Baptist Church will have a free Fun Fest from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday. There will be inflatables, carnival games, a magician, hayride, chicken wings, chili, hot dogs, smoothies, fried candy bars, snow cones, candy and more. For information, see apexbaptist.org.

CARY ALLIANCE CHURCH

Cary Alliance Church will hold a Trunk or Treat from 3 to 6 p.m. Saturday. Parents can enjoy a cup of coffee while the children collect candy from our parked car trunks, play games and activities and get a closer look at a fire truck. Cary Alliance Church is located at 4108 Ten Ten Road, Apex.

CARY CHURCH OF GOD

COVENANT CHRISTIAN CHURCH

Join Covenant Christian Church at 3 p.m. Sunday for a special outdoor service to recognize and bless families and their pets. Bring your cat, dog, hamster, rabbit or snake to the church and we will pay tribute to their undying love. All animals must be on a leash or restrained at all times. GENESIS UNITED METHODIST CHURCH

Please join Genesis UMC for a Stop Hunger Now event at 2:30 p.m. Sunday. The goal for this event is to package 12,000 dehydrated, high-protein, nutritious meals. For more information, call 919-467-2128.

SAINT FRANCIS UNITED METHODIST CHURCH

The church will hold an Oktoberfest from 5:30 to 8 p.m. on Thursday. There will be dinner from Bavarian Brathaus, candy, popcorn, strudel, pretzels, games, prizes, dancing and music. Children are encouraged to wear their costumes. Tickets for dinner are on sale at the church office: adults $12; ages 6-12, $6; under 6, free.

The annual Gifts of Grace Marketplace will offer shopping with a charitable focus from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sunday. Vendors will include Heifer International, Christian Veterinary Medicine, Tiny Hands of Nepal, Food for the Hungry, Methodist Home for Children, Handmade for Haiti and Global Public Health Brigades.
