NO MORE PAINTING MISTAKES

Learn how to prevent the most common mistakes that amateur painters make. Jodi Schavone, a professional decorating coach, will teach you how to paint your rooms yourself and give you valuable tips and tricks. The PHI Senior Olympics will start at 10 a.m. at the Glenaire Retirement Community. Mark Roberts, former WRAL anchor, will host the Quiz Bowl. Residents can choose to participate in events such as chair volleyball, 50-yard swim, table tennis, ballroom dancing and a quiz bowl. SILENT AUCTION

Pretty In Pink and Nirvelli Day Spa are holding a silent auction at 6 p.m. at Nirvelli Day Spa, 1003 High House Road, Suite 104, Cary. All proceeds go to women in Wake, Durham and Orange Counties with breast cancer. Pretty In Pink provides money for treatment to women without adequate health insurance. The V Foundation for Cancer Research and The Town of Cary present the 4th annual Jimmy V Ride for Research and Cary Cycling Celebration Sunday at the Koka Booth Amphitheatre in Cary. Proceeds from this year's event will go to local cancer research projects. There will be bike tours of 25, 50, 75, or 100 miles as well as a bicycle safety rodeo and self-guided tours around Symphony Lake. As an extra fundraising incentive, participating riders who raise $500 or more for The V Foundation will have the opportunity to receive a commemorative Louis Garneau jersey. Starting Monday, horror movie enthusiasts are invited to the Booth Amphitheatre for this reel-ly scary event.
