Apex Lions

Cary Jaycees

The Cary Jaycees meets from 7 to 8 p.m. on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month at the Business Network Center on 649 Walnut Street in Cary. The group is providing four $500 grants for those who teach in schools that primarily serve Cary residents. The grants will help teachers in the Cary area with classroom supplies. CARY KILDAIRE ROTARY

Cary-Kildaire Rotarian Kenn Gardner received the Order of the Long Leaf Pine at the club's Oct.1 meeting. Maria Spaulding, deputy director of the N.C. Department of Human Services, presented the award. She noted Gardner's initiative in creating a foster care investment fund, known as WISE, and formulating a public-private partnership which included Rotary, Wake County Human Services, Wake Tech and local businesses. The program has been recognized by the National Association of Counties.

FINE ARTS LEAGUE OF CARY

The Fine Arts League of Cary is holding its annual Holiday Exhibit and Sale through Jan. 6 at the FALC office, 875 Walnut St., Suite 275-22, Cary. For information call 919-465-1791 or see fineartsleagueofcary.org.

PAF-Finders Computer Genealogy Club

PILOT CLUB OF CARY

Members of the Pilot Club of Cary help adults and children with brain-related disorders and disabilities.
