Class on Islam
Regular walk-in class on “What is Islam?” is held at 3020 Ligon St. in Raleigh on the second floor, Sundays from 2-3:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome. For information visit islam1.org.

New Genesis UMC preschool director
Genesis United Methodist Church is excited to announce that Marilyn Godshalk has accepted the position of director of Genesis Christian Preschool. Godshalk has been a preschool teacher at Genesis for four years. She holds an associate’s degree in general education and a certificate on “Ready, Set, Read” through Wake County public schools. She has directed the Genesis Summer Camp for the past two years. She is an active member of White Plains United Methodist Church.

New member class
Interested in learning more about the United Methodist faith, the Genesis church family, or desiring to join our fellowship? The next New Member Class will be held Saturday, June 6, from 9 a.m. to noon. Sign up in the Gathering Hall to indicate your interest and child care needs. Vacation Bible School
Vacation Bible School, Studio Go! Game Show, will be held June 14-18, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., at Swift Creek Baptist Church, 9300 Penny Road, Raleigh. Kids will meet people from the Bible who decided to team up with God and GO for it! Bible challenges, game show fun and songs will be available for children from 2 years to sixth grade. GriefShare at Westwood Baptist
The next 13-week series of GriefShare started Tuesday, June 2, and will continue through Aug. 25 at Westwood Baptist Church, Room 209, 200 Westhigh St. in Cary. Jeanne Erwin and Jackie Riggsbee Woodcock will co-facilitate the program. Registration to cover the materials is $15 per person. Contact Westwood Baptist Church to register by calling 469-9393.
