The International Group of the Cary Newcomers club held a special lunch March 12 to learn about Hinamatsuri, the Japanese Doll Festival.

Members also learned how to make rolled sushi, known in Japan as “maki.”

Some members even wore traditional Japanese kimonos for the occasion.

If you would like to get to know people from all over the world, this group may be for you. It is open to everyone with special emphasis on those who have lived outside the United States.
