Cary author William Duncan has two upcoming signings for his new book, “Six-Gun Two-Step.” Saturday, May 31, 2-4 p.m. at Waldenbooks, 1058 W. Club Blvd No. 117, in Durham and Saturday, June 7, 1-3 p.m. at Waldenbooks at 201 S. Estes Drive in Chapel Hill.

In the book, protagonist Timmy Thomas is twenty-something with a dead-end job; his primary interests lie in dealing and using cocaine.

After hearing that a local dealer has been found dead, he decides to retrieve his competition’s stash of drugs before local authorities find and close off the crime scene. Little does he know that he is dipping into the pockets of local MS-13 gangsters. He quickly leaves town but later decides that he must take his fate into his own hands. Author Duncan’s enthusiasm for martial arts and self defense tactics pull together the sharp features in “Six-Gun Two-Step,” making it a non-stop action thriller.
