Veterans Freedom Park monument in Cary nears completion

Work progresses on the monument under construction at the Veterans Freedom Park at the intersection of Harrison Ave. and Cary Parkway in Cary on May 14, 2014. The park and the 90-foot Monument was built as a collaborative effort between the SAS Institute and the National Veterans Freedom Park Foundation. Upon completion, the park, which is over 12 acres, and monument will be donated to the Town of Cary. The dedication is slated for May 21, 2014.
