Overtime points

• Green Hope’s Louis Rico and Matt Whitney may not have won the conference title, but they were semifinalists in the 4A Mideast boys tennis regional on Saturday, which qualifies them for the state championships this week.

• Apex girls lacrosse clinched the Southwest Wake Athletic Conference (also known as Conference 2) title with a 20-9 win against Athens Drive on Friday. Apex now has three titles in the last six years (2009, 2011, 2014) which is even with Green Hope (2010, 2012, 2013).

• Colin Fegeley was named the Green Hope athletics director on Monday. Fegeley has been the assistant AD for two years, coming to Green Hope from Panther Creek along with outgoing AD Wayne Bragg. Bragg is leaving the Falcons to be the new head football coach at Holly Springs.
