Thomas Pandolfi concert

Rodney Crowell

‘Latin Landscapes’

Painting workshop

Paintings by Lynne Wogan will be on display in the Holly Springs Cultural Center through Wednesday, April 30, at 300 W. Ballentine St.

Hob Nob Jazz Series

The third year of the Hob Nob Jazz Series continues through Wednesday, June 4. Performances will be from 5:30-8:30 p.m. Wednesdays at Koka Booth Amphitheatre, 8003 Regency Parkway, Cary. Here’s the schedule:

• April 30: Boneslinger.

• May 7: Sidecar Social Club.

• May 14: Peter Lamb and The Wolves.

Cary Photographic Artists

The Back Beat

Paint the Town

Artists will paint scenes from Cary’s landscape, history and culture in natural light outdoors from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, May 3, downtown.

Artwork will be displayed by local businesses from Tuesday, May 6, through Tuesday, May 27. Art will be sold in an auction on May 30 at the Cary Arts Center to raise money for Relief for Recreation, a scholarship fund for Cary residents to take part in recreation, sports, arts and cultural programs. ‘The Three Little Pigs’

Opera Carolina will perform “The Three Little Pigs” for kids at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 3, at the Cary Arts Center, 101 Dry Ave. This is a rescheduled performance from Saturday, Feb. 22, and tickets from the canceled show will be accepted. ‘The Little Prince’

Sertoma Series

Cary’s Sertoma Series of free concerts will run through early August. Concerts will be at Fred G. Bond Metro Park, 801 High House Road. Here’s the upcoming schedule:

• 5 p.m. Saturday, May 10: Mipso.

• 7:30 p.m. Friday, May 16: Cary Town Band’s “All Request Friday.”

Marvelous Music series

Diane Shuur will give the last performance of the third Marvelous Music season at 7 p.m. Friday, May 9, at the Cary Arts Center, 101 Dry Ave. Tickets are $26 for adults, $24 for seniors.

‘Twelfth Night’

The Cary Arts Center will host performances of Shakespeare’s “Twelfth Night” at 7:30 p.m. Friday, May 16, and Saturday, May 17, and at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 18, at 101 Dry Ave. Tickets will go on sale Monday, April 14. ‘Opera in the Pines’

The N.C. Opera Orchestra and featured singers will perform at 7 p.m. Saturday, May 17, at Koka Booth Amphitheatre, 8003 Regency Parkway, Cary. Tickets cost $25-$37, free for kids under 14, at www.boothamphitheatre.com.

Movies by Moonlight

WakeMed Cary Hospital sponsors movie screenings at dusk, around 8:30 p.m., at Koka Booth Amphitheatre, 8003 Regency Parkway, Cary. Here’s the schedule of movies:

• Friday, May 23: “Gravity”

• Thursday, June 5: “Caddyshack”

Tickets are $3, free for kids younger than 12. A portion of proceeds will benefit the WakeMed Children’s Hospital. Picnics are allowed, but pets are not.
