Walk for the Dream

The Holly Springs Martin Luther King Jr. Community Foundation’s Walk for the Dream will start at 2:45 p.m. in the parking lot of Food Lion, 517 N. Main St, and end at the Holly Springs Cultural Center, 300 W. Ballentine St. Sponsor a walker for $1 to $10; walkers who raise more than $75 will be entered in a drawing for a gift certificate. Playoff Party

The Raleigh-based Holt Brothers Foundation will host a Playoff Party from 3-6 p.m. at N.C. State University’s Carter-Finley Stadium. The foundation, by former N.C. State and NFL players Terrence and Torry Holt, supports KidsCan! at Rex Hospital, a program for kids with a parent who has cancer, and Camp Kesem, which serves children who have a parent with cancer. The event will feature food and entertainment.

Dreamfest
