Cary retirement community sells for $23.8 million

Holiday Retirement, which owns more than 300 senior living communities in the United States and Canada, has acquired the Jordan Oaks retirement community in Cary for $23.8 million, according to Wake County property records.

Lake Oswego, Ore.-based Holiday also owns four other communities in the Triangle: The Gardens at Wakefield Plantation in Raleigh, Durham Regent and Emerald Pond in Durham and The Lodge at Wake Forest.

The company is owned by Fortress Investment Group, which acquired Holiday in 2007.
