Overtime points

• Emilia Migliaccio of Athens Drive is the girls winner of the 2013 N.C. Junior Player of the Year by the Tarheel Youth Golf Association and the Carolinas Golf Association. The award recognizes one girl and one boy who have had the most successful year in amateur and junior golf events at the local, state, regional and national levels.

• Two area girls joined Migliaccio on the 2013 N.C. all-state junior golf teams. Middle schooler Jennifer Chang of Cary also made the first team. The girls’ third team includes Fuquay-Varina’s Catherine Ashworth.

• Three area boys were also named to the all-state junior golf teams. Eric Bae of Athens Drive and Doc Redman of Cary Academy were among the 10 boys selected for the first team. Timothy Conover of Holly Springs made the second team.
