Green Hope student named arts finalist

Sam Hamashima, a student at Green Hope High School, is a National YoungArts Foundation finalist in musical theater. Hamashima and 170 other finalists will compete in the 33rd annual YoungArts Week in Miami from Jan. 6-12 for awards of $1,000 to $10,000. For more information, go to

Coat drive

East Cary Middle School, Adams Elementary School, Cary Elementary School and Cary High School are collecting coats to donate to the Salvation Army until Friday, Jan. 17.

Green Hope Winter Dance Concert

IMProv at Cary High School
