Christmas tree exhibit and auction

The Halle Cultural Arts Center’s sixth annual Christmas tree exhibit and auction to raise money for the Western Wake Crisis Ministry will be open until Friday, Dec. 20, at 237 N. Salem St., Apex.

Cary

Live Nativity

St. Francis United Methodist Church will host its 15th annual Live Nativity from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 18, at 2965 Kildaire Farm Road, Cary. Dinner is from 5-7 p.m. The Live Nativity, indoor nativity displays, live music and crafts for kids are from 6-8 p.m.

Advent study

Kirk of Kildaire Presbyterian Church will host a study of “The Journey: Walking the Road to Bethlehem” by Adam Hamilton from 11 a.m.-noon or 6:30-7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 18, in the church’s Session Room, 200 High Meadow Drive, Cary. Classes started Dec. 4. Evening sessions include a separate class for kids, and child care is available for both sessions with registration.

Family dinners are available from 5:30-6:30 p.m. in the church fellowship hall for $20 per family, $7 for adults and $3 for kids. For details or registration, call 919-467-4944.

Contemporary Christmas Concert

White Plains United Methodist Church’s Contemporary Christmas Concert will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 18, at 313 SE Maynard Road, Cary. The Praise Team and New Spirit groups will perform popular and new Christmas songs.

Blue Christmas Service

The Good Shepherd United Church of Christ’s Blue Christmas Service will be at 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 20, at 1050 NW Maynard Road, Cary. The quiet, reflective service is for people coping with loss, grief, illness or other difficulty during the holidays. All are welcome, and child care is provided.

Candlelight service and sledding

Mosaic Church of Cary will host a candlelight service at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 24, at 270 Towerview Court. The church will have over four tons of snow brought in for sledding at 5 p.m. For details, call 919-535-8365 or go to www.madebeautiful.com.

Christmas Eve services at White Plains United Methodist Church

The contemporary service will be at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 24, in the Christian Life Center at the church, 313 SE Maynard Road, Cary. The traditional service will be at 7 p.m., the service of music and meditation at 9 p.m. and another traditional service at 11 p.m. in the church sanctuary.

The town of Fuquay-Varina will collect Christmas trees from curbs from Thursday, Dec. 26, to Friday, Jan. 17, or at a drop-off site at Action Park, 609 Wake Chapel Road.

The town of Morrisville will collect Christmas trees on Wednesday, Jan. 29.
