Cary soldier completes basic training

Army Pfc. Sean J. Casey graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C.

Casey studied the Army’s mission, history, traditions and values. He was instructed in fitness, combat skills, tactics, the military justice system and field training.

He is the son of Randall and Donna Casey of Cary.

Local taekwondo instructor joins Hall of Fame

Taekwondo Grandmaster Rondy McKee was inducted to the USA Martial Arts Hall of Fame’s Hall of Heroes in October. McKee is the owner and head instructor of White Tiger Taekwondo and Family Fitness Facility in Cary. She also earned the Korean Martial Arts Master Instructor of the Year award at the Hall of Fame’s recent seminar in Atlanta.
