Marvelous Music series

As part of the third Marvelous Music season, performances will begin at 7 p.m. at the Cary Arts Center, 101 Dry Ave. Tickets are $26 for adults, $24 for seniors and $88 for a pack of four. Here’s the schedule:

Rock-painting class

Meet the Artisan: The Art of Decorative Handwriting

Members of the Triangle Calligrapher’s Guild will demonstrate and discuss calligraphy at 5 p.m. Monday, Nov. 18, at Eva Perry Regional Library, 2100 Shepherd’s Vineyard Drive, Apex. To register, call 919-387-2100.

Family Dance at The Halle

The Halle Cultural Arts Center’s Family Dance night will be from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, Nov. 22, at 237 N. Salem St., Apex. Tickets are $2 per person or $5 per family at the door. Connie Carringer will teach dances.

Jewelry class

A basic jewelry design class for ages 9 and older will be from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 24, at Southern Charm Gift Boutique in Cary Towne Center, 1105 Walnut St. The class, which costs $15, will “up-cycle” materials such as soda tabs to make earrings and bracelets. Winter Concert Series

As part of the Winter Concert Series of the Friends of the Page-Walker Hotel, performances will begin at 4 p.m. Sundays at the Page-Walker Arts & History Center, 119 Ambassador Loop, Cary. Season tickets cost $60; tickets to individual performances cost $15 at www.etix.com. Here’s the schedule:
